Highworth United Reformed Church

Here for you

We are part of a joint pastorate with Immanuel Church in Upham Road, Swindon, which is also part of the Swindon Old Town Partnership of Churches.

We are people on a journey,
sharing a vision of God's kingdom, a world as God means it to be, a world of justice and peace in which all creation is in perfect harmony.

Through the teaching and example of Jesus God makes his purpose known and calls us to work for its realisation in our personal lives, in the life we share together as a church and in the world in which we live.

confusing but we travel in faith, looking to the Holy Spirit for guidance and strength.

We seek to be thoughtful, kindly, faithful people and we treasure our times of worship together as opportunities to thank God for his blessings in the past, find forgiveness for our shortcomings and failures and seek guidance and empowerment for the way ahead.

We may be at different stages of the journey and may not always agree on the way but we have a common goal and through the life we share together we seek to encourage and support one another, sharing our insights, our joys and sorrows, our hopes and disappointments. our laughter and tears. Grateful for the friendship that we have found together we are eager to extend a warm and friendly welcome to all who would join us in this great adventure. whoever you are, wherever you may be on your personal journey, whether you be a seasoned traveller, or have lost your way, are looking for a different way, or are an absolute beginner, you are welcome.

Put in a toe and test the water.   We hope you will find it warm.
